INTRODUCING LONG PRAIRIE WIND
Long Prairie Wind is a proposed 450 megawatt wind energy project that could offer an opportunity to help Ohio meet its growing electricity demand. The project will also help diversify Van Wert County’s economy and support the rural farm community.
The proposed project is located south of the City of Van Wert around Ohio City. Long Prairie Wind will create jobs and generate an entirely new source of long-term revenue for local schools, governments, and landowners. In the long term, the project promises to bring sustained tax revenue to the county for the local government and schools, as well as 30 years of local purchasing, employment, and investment.
